The eldest Team36 teams, 2022 graduation year, on both the girls and boys side win the championship at Middle of the Map in Kansas City, KS. The tournament took place on July 24-25, 2021 and featured club teams from all over them midwest.
The 2022 girls played with only a few subs, but, were able to knock off tourney host, Midwest Top Gun with a 10-4 win in the semi’s and then beat KC Warriors in a tight contest, 5-2, in the final.
The 2022 boys found themselves behind 5-3 late in the semifinal game vs St. Louis Samurai. However, a few quick goals and face-off wins allowed the boys to win on a last second shot as time expired to win 6-5. They matched up against the other undefeated team, and tourney host, midwest top gun in the finals. Trailing the entire game, took the lead 7-6 late in the second half. A clutch save and clear by the defense iced the 7-6 win.
The boys and girls capped off an amazing club career at Team36 with some hardware in some thrilling matchups that will be great memories for years to come!
